The NYX Design Awards is an international design awards programme recognising excellence across product design, architecture, interior design, communication, digital experiences, urban design, and other design disciplines. Building upon the established legacy of the NYX Awards, the programme honours designers, studios, manufacturers, brands, and organisations whose work demonstrates creativity, innovation, functionality, and lasting industry impact.

The NYX Design Awards was established to recognise the growing influence of design across industries and everyday life. As the NYX Awards expanded over more than a decade of recognising creative excellence, the launch of the NYX Design Awards in 2027 marked a natural evolution: an international platform dedicated to outstanding achievements in design and the professionals shaping the future through creativity, innovation, and meaningful impact.

The NYX Design Awards recognises more than outstanding aesthetics. It celebrates design influence: the ability of exceptional design to improve experiences, inspire innovation, transform industries, and create lasting value. Independent blind judging, an international jury, comprehensive design disciplines, and the Annual NYX Honours recognise both outstanding projects and consistent excellence across the global design community.

The competition welcomes submissions from independent designers, architects, design studios, agencies, manufacturers, brands, organisations, educational institutions, students, and emerging professionals worldwide. Entrants may submit an individual project or represent a multidisciplinary team.

The NYX Design Awards accepts completed, conceptual, commissioned, experimental, prototype, and unpublished work created, launched, completed, published, or substantially updated on or after 1 January 2022. Eligible work may be entered into one or multiple categories where appropriate.

Create or sign in to your account, complete the online entry form, select the most relevant category or categories, upload the supporting project materials, review the entry, and complete checkout. A submitted entry becomes valid after its required payment is completed.

Yes. A project may be submitted into multiple categories when each category accurately reflects a different aspect of the work. The applicable additional-category fee is calculated during checkout.

No. You may submit multiple projects and may enter each eligible project in more than one relevant category.

No. Judging is completed using the project information, images, PDF files, and supporting links submitted through the online entry system. Do not mail physical project materials unless the awards team specifically requests them.

The entry portal accepts JPG, PNG, GIF, and PDF project files. Each project file may be up to 5 MB, the thumbnail may be up to 4 MB, and supporting web or video links may be added using complete http or https addresses.

A paid entry remains editable while it has not entered judging and the account continues to show editing controls. Once judging begins or the entry is otherwise locked, contact the awards team if a correction is essential.

Every submission is evaluated through an independent blind judging process by an international panel of respected design professionals. Judges assess each entry on creativity, originality, design excellence, innovation, functionality, user experience, and industry impact.

The NYX Design Awards jury consists of internationally recognised designers, architects, creative directors, educators, industry leaders, and experienced professionals representing diverse design disciplines and regions.

Yes. Identifying entrant information is withheld from jurors during evaluation so that each submission can be assessed on the quality and merit of the work itself.

Winning entries receive an official Winner Title, a downloadable digital award certificate, winner logos, digital promotional assets, permanent online recognition, and international publicity opportunities. Eligible winners may also order the official NYX Design Trophy and other recognition items through the Winner Collection.

The Annual NYX Honours celebrates excellence beyond individual projects. Design of the Year recognises the most outstanding project within each major discipline. NYX Designer Honours and NYX Design Team Honours recognise outstanding individual designers and teams based on accumulated achievement throughout the competition year.

Results are published according to the current competition schedule. Registered entrants can view their results through their account, and the awards team sends winner notifications to the email address associated with the account.

Current competition periods and prices are published on The Award page and are calculated automatically at checkout using the applicable internal deadline. Submit early to access the preferred entry rates.

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout. Payments are processed in United States dollars, and the entry is confirmed after the selected payment provider reports a successful transaction.

Entry and administrative fees are generally non-refundable after submission. Withdrawn entries and entries that do not comply with the competition requirements are also not normally eligible for a refund. Refer to the current Terms of Use for the complete policy.

Yes. Eligible winners can access the Winner Collection through their account after results are published. Availability, personalisation, pricing, and delivery options are displayed for the selected winning entry.

Official recognition products are produced and shipped according to the item and destination. The order page displays the available delivery information. International orders may also be subject to local customs duties or taxes outside the control of the NYX Design Awards.
